Hi, I’m Jayne’.

Couples Therapist · Trauma-informed · Trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance your relationship doesn’t feel the way you hoped it would. Maybe you and your partner keep having the same argument. Maybe the conflict has gone quiet, and the distance is louder than any fight. Or maybe you’re on your own and wondering why closeness feels so hard to hold onto.
Wherever you are, you’re not broken, and you’re not too late. You’re caught in a pattern, and patterns can change. Helping people change them is the heart of my work.

Specializing in Couples Therapy Through Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

Most couples who come to me haven’t stopped caring. They care deeply, and still keep missing each other: the same argument in new forms, one partner reaching while the other retreats. This isn’t a failure of love. It’s a cycle driven by unmet attachment needs, and it is entirely treatable.

My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), a well-researched approach built on attachment science. Together, we slow your cycle down, name it as the shared enemy, and reach the emotions beneath each partner’s reactions, so you can rebuild safety, closeness and trust. I weave in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care, because past wounds often live quietly inside present conflicts.

The goal is to communicate beyond the surface, feel emotionally safe again, and rediscover the partnership you came together to create. I work with married, engaged and committed couples, including those preparing for marriage through my First Season premarital program.

For individuals who struggle in relationships

Sometimes the work begins with one person. If you find yourself repeating painful relationship patterns, struggling to trust, losing yourself in a partner, or feeling overwhelmed by emotions in close relationships, individual therapy can help. Together we’ll explore how past experiences shape the way you connect today. You’ll build the self-awareness and emotional skills that make secure relationships possible. My training in trauma recovery and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) means we can work with both the story and the skills.

What it’s like to work with me

Clients often tell me I’m both warm and direct. I’ll create a space where each of you feels heard, and I’ll also gently name what I see, even when it’s hard to hear. I won’t take sides. I will take your relationship seriously.
Sessions are virtual, so you can join from home, from the office, or from two different cities if your schedules require it.

Education & Clinical Background

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University — and I have spent over a decade refining my practice across diverse clinical settings, working with clients navigating some of the most complex chapters of their lives.

I am licensed in both Georgia and Florida and hold six advanced credentials spanning trauma, telehealth, DBT, and emotionally focused couples therapy. My commitment to ongoing clinical training ensures that every client benefits from approaches grounded in the latest evidence — delivered with a level of care that goes far beyond the transactional.

Outside the therapy room, I am someone who leads a full and curious life — a lover of learning, reading, new cuisines, time outdoors, and the kind of conversations that go somewhere real. I bring that same fullness of presence into every session, and I genuinely look forward to hearing your story.
